Welcome to the first post ever on Myself Invested. Thank you for taking the time to be here!

One of the most exciting things is starting something new. There is always the thrill of freshness and building something from scratch.
Whether it be a new relationship, new city, new career opportunity or in this case a blog, enthusiasm call fill one’s spirits a lot!
While enthusiasm is great, it can also be coupled with some fear and or doubts.
These are limiting and can cause one to stunt their growth in new areas of their life or whatever they are trying to pursue.
Don’t get me wrong, not all fear is bad. In fact, some are good and thankfully so. There is a reason why I am completely terrified of standing on the edge of an extremely tall building!
What I am fearful of…
Besides the healthy fears that keep humans alive, we often carry around less harmful fears that are sometimes just a overemphasis of details in our minds that don’t resemble reality.
I fall into this trap when it comes to starting new things.
I get really excited about starting something new and will put a lot of enthusiasm and effort into “researching” and “learning” only to find myself unmotivated or discouraged after a short while.
Why is this?
I could consider this a sign of fear of failure or even fear of success.
This is not a fun thing for me. It’s unenjoyable because I believe in myself and have great potential, however for some reason at times these seems to be something mentally going on that prevents me from fully committing and persevering to achieve success.
It drives me crazy! But at least I am becoming more and more aware of it.
Fear of failure is exactly what it sounds like. Scared to fail. It’s that simple. The problem is that the fear is PARALYZING. It inhibits the flow of action and progress on a particular project.
A common symptom of this fear would be analysis paralysis. This is when you continue to search, learn, discover, evaluate, analyze and repeat without taking any action towards your goals.
I am way to familiar with analysis paralysis, but having be more focused on taking MASSIVE action after times of research and analyzing information.
The good news is you do not have to become (or remain) a slave to the things that hold us back.
What I am going to do about it.
This blog is dedicated to those who struggle or have struggled with the fears listed above.
This will be a place that will inspire and motivate those who want to reach their full potential.
The truth is, we all have great potential, but it takes more than just ourselves to reach it. We can’t do it alone. That’s why I’ve created this website, to help and get help from others so that we all can be the best versions of ourselves.
